Enemies within?
Mark Steyn encapsules the Democratic Party position on the war on terror so accurately that the irony is easy to miss:

At the Senate confirmation hearings for the new attorney general, Alberto Gonzales, Democrats seem to have decided that the very concept of an "enemy" is dubious, cheerfully cranking up their sanctimonious preening for CNN and berating Judge Gonzales for declining to extend the Geneva Conventions to captured terrorists.
